The growing threat of terror attacks taking place over the July Fourth weekend has prompted the FBI to set up command centers around the U.S., and tensions are running high for the holiday.
Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., joined Megyn Kelly on “The Kelly File” Monday to explain why U.S. terror experts are “extremely concerned.”
“Should people be scared?” Kelly asked.
“People should be concerned,” King said. “ISIS has called for attacks during Ramadan. This July Fourth occurs during Ramadan.”
He cautioned that the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security issued an intelligence bulletin, warning of an upcoming attack. King said he has not seen the departments and law enforcement this concerned since 9/11.

“In the last 10 days we’ve had five different arrests in New York of ISIS supporters,” King said. “These are people the FBI believes are involved in potential terrorist activities.”
“Behind the scenes, [officials] are extremely concerned,” he added.
The warnings have ramped up after three separate terror attacks took place within three hours last Friday. One at an American company in France, another targeting westerners at a beach in Tunisia, and a bombing at a crowded mosque in Kuwait.
Kelly asked if the prominent warnings by U.S. terror experts are a call for the public’s help.
“If the American people see something, say something,” King said.
“I think that’s especially true for people in the Muslim community, because that’s where the threat is going to come from,” he said. “I’m really calling on them, if they know anything at all, out of the ordinary, let the police know because we’re talking about potential life and death here.”
