3rd Test: Younis Khan's 171 guides Pakistan to series win over Sri Lanka In the 3-match series, Pakistan has already won the first Test played and Sri Lanka claimed the second.

Riding high on ace batsman Younis Khan's epic unbeaten 171, Pakistan won the  Test series against Sri Lanka after a long time. The last series it had won against the host in 2006.
In the 3-match series, Pakistan has already won the first Test played and Sri Lanka claimed the second.
The third Test played at the Pallekele stadium is the sixth highest chase in Test cricket.
In a record chase, Pakistan crossed 377 runs and finished at 382, becoming the first visiting team to score more than 300 runs in the fourth innings.  This is Pakistan's highest ever run chase in the Test cricket. Before this, it had successfully chased 315 against Australia played in Karachi in 1994.
The extraordinary win brought in by an extraordinary record fourth innings partnership of 242 between veteran Younis Khan  and Shan Masood. While Masood got out for 125 after hitting his maiden Test century, Younis remained not out.
After Masood's departure, Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq carried on with Younis and finished the match with a six, winning it by 7 wickets.
