Intel has launched its Compute Stick mini PC in India, with the Windows 8.1 variant available for mere Rs 9,999. The news follows close on the heels of an announcement for the Ubuntu variant of the device.
The Compute Stick was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year. It's a miniaturized PC that plugs into an HDMI port, like the one in your TV) and turns your monitor into a full-fledged computer. The Compute Stick is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor, with onboard Intel HD graphics, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot. The device also has its own USB 2.0 port, and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0. The Linux version of the COmoute Stick, meanwhile, has 8GB internal storage and 1GB DDR3 RAM
